Lens On Life: April 2019

It’s pretty safe to say that the month of April went by in a blur! It’s hard to believe that in a few weeks the kids will be out of school for the summer and I’ll be working hard to keep the peace and keep them busy.

It was, indeed, a busy month for our family as a whole. Jonas turned seven! That’s right, I said seven! Samson appeared in his second musical at school. This year they did Oklahoma, which he enjoyed. My mom and sister also came for a visit during his performance weekend. And of course, Eric’s soccer season was in full swing keeping him busy as well.

For me, personally, it was a bit hectic. I was doing school class photos, family mini sessions for our school, mini sessions for my MOPS group, as well as helping a local non-profit update their images for their website and annual report. While it was so nice to be sought after for my work, I had a really hard time maintaining work life balance.

But, I think you have to be thrown into the fire to come out clean again. It was definitely a learning month for me on a professional level. I know that I can’t do all the things, and have to pace myself a bit. I have to remember that the kids should see me working for my goals, but that doesn’t mean that I have to forget to have some down time and rest too. Grace upon grace upon grace!

Here’s looking into May with fresh eyes. A new month and a chance to start anew!
