Do you ever just feel like you need a change? I’ve been feeling that way for quite some time now. I wasn’t really feeling super great about my branding and how my website looked (well, looks really, since I’m still working on it as we speak). I felt like it was time for something fun and fresh. Something that spoke to the true nature of who I am, how I try to live life, and how I work.
And so a re-branding has been evolving. You’ll see a lot of the same colors, but with a bit more of a lively punch.
And you’ll see lots of hexagons. It was a shape that kept popping into my head over and over again. It’s a shape that reminds me of bees, honeycomb, and honey. It makes me think of Proverbs 16:24, “Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the taste and health to the body.” And then I starting thinking even further. If our words are meant to be sweet like honey, can’t that also apply to what we see too? Why can’t the things we view with our eyes bring health to our body and bring us joy time, after time, after time?
I certainly hope that’s how you feel after we work together. That the images we create bring you joy and health to your body and your soul. That you can remember all those little things you love so much about your family. And as I was thinking further three words popped into my head. Simple, sweet, slow.
Simple. We make life so complicated. I try to make the entire process of your session, from start to finish, as simple as possible.
Sweet. Raising a family can be so stinking hard! We need to savor the sweet moments we have, no matter how few and far between they might be.
Slow. No really, slow down. Even if it’s just for a minute. Before we know it, the kids we’ve worked so hard to raise are going to be grown and gone. What memories will we be left with then?
And so, with this re-branding overhaul, I hope and pray you can see the heart behind what I do. What you see from me, and what I put forth, is very intentional. It’s real, it’s genuine, and it’s purposeful. And I hope that you’ll find all those characteristics to be true when we work together.
