Protecting your student's information is important to us. As a small locally owned Denver, Colorado school portrait company, we have the ability to create genuine relationship and trust with our clients instead of treating them as another number in our lineup. We are committed to your trust and want to make sure you understand, in plain language, what data we collect, how it's used, and how we work to protect your information and images.
What Information Is Collected?
In order to make a picture day run smoothly we collect very specific information from the school we are working with for every student. That information includes:
- Student's First and Last Name
- Grade
- Teacher
- Guardian First and Last Name
- Guardian Email
- Guardian Cell Phone (optional for those logging into the proofing site)
We ONLY use this information in setting up picture day logistics and sending information pertaining to gallery releases and deadlines. This information is not used in any other circumstance and is safely deleted at the end of the school year.
Who Has Access To My Information?
Only the team at RLPC have access to your information.
Who Has Access To My Images?
Each student receives a private, protected online album of images. These albums are protected by a random access code. Only the guardians of the students of whom we have contact information for have access to these albums. We never provide this information to anyone outside the approved guardian list, but families have the option to share that information with others if they so choose.
How Is My Student's Image Used?
There are special instances where your student's image might be required to be used by the school. Those special situations might include the following:
- School Yearbook
- School Database
- Student IDs
- Special School Projects
These special instances are laid out clearly in our school portrait agreement with each school. If you are unsure how your student's image is being used within your school, please reach out to your school administration. If a school desires to use an image outside of the scope laid out within their signed school portrait agreement, they must obtain a model release.
