Great Mother’s Day Gifts

With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I wanted to share some of my favorite ways to bless mom with an amazing gift that can show her a little love for her selflessness.  Even if you waited till the last minute, you’re in the right place.

Something Pretty

I don’t know about you, but when I’m run ragged each day taking care of four kids, I don’t feel very pretty.  I’m lucky if I get a shower most days and there’s always something mysterious on my shirt by the end of the day.  Treat mom to something pretty, like a fresh bouquet of flowers or a new plant for her garden.  Maybe a simple mani/pedi would lift her spirits, or even just a new color nail polish for her to do it herself.  I’ve recently gotten into sheet masks, which are a great way to feel like you’re having a spa day in your own home.  Here is a link to my favorite Target brand.

A Good Read

I love a good book and I think that books make amazing gifts.  If you’re looking for a good read for mom I highly recommend Emily Ley’s “Grace, Not Perfection” or “A Simplified Life”.  These books are totally changing the way I approach my days and make them intentional and purposeful.  I’m also a huge fan of practical, family friendly cookbooks.  I’ve got Joanna Gaines’ new cookbook on my wish list fore sure.

Share A Memory

You guys, let’s get real.  We mom’s are typically the historians of our families.  We sometimes go to great length to preserve our family memories.  However, it’s not always easy to keep those growing growing catalogs of digital photos organized.  I am a huge fan of Chatbooks.  These little books are a huge blessing to me as I chronicle my family through the year.  And my whole family loves them!  Friends, my kids will just sit and look at these books over, and over, and over again.  They can seriously buy you a good 20 minutes of quiet.  You can create a custom book for mom, or she can link the app to her social media accounts to create a series subscription that will automatically print your memories and ship them directly to you.  They’re super easy and amazingly affordable.  You really can’t go wrong with Chatbooks!

The Gift of Time

The days just go by so fast and each day’s schedule is always packed to the gills.  Why not give mom a little time?  It can be time alone to breathe and recharge, or even more time with the family she loves.  Let her know that her daily duties are taken care of so that she can focus on what really matters, self-care and margin for making memories with the ones she loves.

Photos Together

Did you know that I offer gift certificates?  How long has mom been talking about how she would LOVE to have family photos taken?  Mom takes photos, but is she ever really in them?  I don’t think there is any better gift than the gift of family photography.  You can purchase gift certificates for either of the two packages I offer, or buy them in any dollar amount you choose.  If you’re interested please email me at beth@eosbergphotography.com.  They are a great last minute gift idea if you’re in the area.  I’ll even wrap them up pretty for you and drop them by your home!

If you’re still stuck, check out this Podcast from the ladies at Coffee and Crumbs.  They also have a beautiful book of essays on motherhood I highly recommend called The Magic of Motherhood!

And so mom, we salute you!  Thank you for serving your families tirelessly, patiently, and selflessly day in and day out.  Share some love with your mom this Sunday, no matter what that looks like for you!
